A Christmas counting song is always fun, but it’s even more fun when there are puppets!
The Five Little Christmas trees song is such a fun little song to act out with these free printable puppets.
This counting song is about five Christmas trees waiting to be chopped down and taken home to be decorated.
Here’s how it goes…
Five Little Christmas Trees
5 little Christmas Trees
Standing all alone
Their hearts were very sad
‘Cause they hadn’t found a home.
Then chop went the axe,
And down fell a tree,
And off they went with a happy family!
(continue from 4-1 Christmas Trees)
No little Christmas Trees
Standing all alone
Their hearts were very happy
‘Cause they all found a home!
Make Some Christmas Tree Puppets.
We’ve made five decorated trees to go along with the song. And don’t forget the axe so you can chop down a tree and take it home!
We printed the Christmas trees and axe onto light cardboard and cut them out. We stuck a craft stick to the back of each little tree. You could also laminate the trees and axe to make them last longer if you like.
The five little Christmas trees puppet set includes five Christmas trees and an axe, and a printable page with song words.
You can download the Five Little Christmas Trees Puppet set here.
This printable is an A4 sized pdf file, you will need a pdf reader such as adobe acrobat to open it. If you are printing on US ‘letter sized’ paper be sure to select ‘fit’ or ‘shrink to fit’ from your printer options. I suggest printing the puppets and seligh onto card or matte photo paper.

I LOVE all the puppets and songs. It will be nice to send home the printed sheet with words so their families can sing with them.
Do you ever offer a version of the puppets in black and white? My budget is tight. And some of the children love personalizing their puppets.
A fun thing I do when making glasses is to put colorful cellophane on the back to view the world in different colors.

So glad you love the puppets. All my free sets of puppets include the coloured version of the puppets and song words. In the future I plan to make bigger puppet packs for my shop that will have black and white options too, but I’m sorry I don’t know when that will happen.
