Frog Song…

Posted on July 10, 2007 2 Comments

When it is dark and when it is not pouring with rain. When we don’t have gale force winds. When no one is whinging or calling out for me and when Muski is not roaring… I can lie in my bed and hear frogs.

Yep frogs.

It has rained that much up here in the past few weeks, there is that much water on the ground the the frogs have gone nuts. We have water in our dam…. not much but a little. The only time we have seen water in the dam was the first few months we were here.. then it dried up and stayed that way all last year. Our tanks are full. The grass is even green.

So not to seem ungrateful or anything but it can stop raining here now and warm up a little… I am definitely over winter, roll on spring! But I’ll keep the frog song thanks.

There have been a few promising sunny days this week, I am sure it won’t be too much longer! :) But don’t wish it forward too fast, your cuddly bundle may well be a toddling whirlwind next year and the puddles will take on a whole new significance!! :) Least he likes snuggles by the fire this year!! :)
