It’ll grow back… eventually…
I happened to mention to the girls the other night that they needed a hair cut. They must have assumed I meant that I’d be ever so grateful if they took that job off my list so the next day they found the one pair of scissors I have not locked away and had a go.
Now this is not the first time they have cut their hair. It happened not long after Muski was born, but I can’t believe we made it that long without them cutting something other than paper with their scissors! They were so distressed when I caught them that I was pretty sure they wouldn’t do it again, but to be on the safe side I locked away all the scissors… not just put away, up high, out of sight, but locked them away in the cabinet with the childproof lock that requires a magnet key to open. All of them except one pair…
So after waiting months for the short spiky bits on the crown of Izzy’s head to grow back, Zoe now has a matching set, though not quite so short thankfully. They both managed to lop great chunks out of the ends of their hair so I had a go at tidying that up, though I am not sure if I have made it worse or better! I am certainly no hairdresser I can tell you… but I think it now looks like a bad hair cut rather than ‘attack of the rabid scissors’.
Before they start kinder I will take them for a proper hair cut so they don’t attend looking like total guttersnipes, but until then it will have to be ‘hair up’ when we don’t want to look too raggy!
No photos??? This is all very amusing from here. The twinadoes they are called and the twinadoes they are. I believe it is because they are so clever – I wonder if they each did the other or each did themselves?? Keep smiling – i guess some days its hard but tom is grateful Friday(LOL)
Never a dull moment, hey? ;-)
Zoe cut her own hair…. they are a bit confused about who did Izzy’s so I suspect they might have both had a go… ah it is only hair…. better than clothes or furniture!
I guess they wanted to save you the hassle!
I wonder if Lauren will take interest in Anyas when its long enough.
LOL. I had a little chuckle when I read this. It made the memories of one of mine cutting her hair come flooding back. She had three goes at it before she decided it was best left to a professional. :)
My twins did this twice when they were little and my daughter did it to herself once – it made me want to cry, but I made sure I took pictures to remember it later in life, because it is funny years later. Sorry this happened – but it will grow back. Take care. Kellan
