Not Funny.
You know… I don’t think my life is as funny as it used to be.
I was reading back through some old posts this afternoon, looking for this one about Zoe eating Chilli and me being a bad Mother when I realised…. I used to blog about all kinds of hilarious kid and Mum stuff… and I don’t do that so much any more.
What happened?
Did my life just get a lot less funny?
Or maybe I’ve just been missing the funny bits?
Are kids less funny as they grow up?
Are boys less funny than girls?
Maybe it’s just a twin thing?
Life can’t possibly be this serious… I am off to find something funny to blog about, even if it kills me… and you know it will!
I’ve been thinking the same thing lately. Actually, I was thinking that my blog had lost it’s quirky flair, and I realised that it was a reflection of life.
I agree. Not funny. But definitely time to find the fun again.
Sometimes funny things happen in our house and I think it would be great to blog about but when I sit down to put it into words, I find it really difficult to find a way to portray it adequately. Like this morning when I asked Noah not to run in the house (he was so obviously running) and he said okay, i’ll just hop (and continued to run).
Perhaps that’s it or perhaps life just gets way too busy some days.
I think you are great! I look forward to reading your next post, funny or not! I have just started blogging and feel like I need to write something funny all the time, do people really want to read about serious things at all? Hmm my mind wanders……
Ummmm, don’t try to be funny – that’s usually when you fall flat on your face or other people just don’t see the humour in it the way that you do.
We all go through different stages – sounds like you are going through a leaning on stage – where you need someone to lean on. There is light at the end of the tunnel and you will have funny things to post, don’t force it though.
Go and read the Serenity prayer and then come back and post. I think that some weeks we should read it at least once. Maybe more, depending on the week we have had.
Sending hugs and smiles and good humour :)
If it makes you feel any better you always make ME laugh ROFL!
I think these things ebb and flow – the funny will be back soon. hgus hugs even.
