Say Yes to Painting – Dot Paints.

Posted on April 19, 2011 7 Comments

Our big kids all got fabulous water colour paint sets for Christmas which makes saying yes to painting so much more doable. With that same idea in mind I recently picked up a set of ‘dot paint markers’.

The set of six dot markers are super easy to use, don’t make much mess and are something a bit different for us to play with on days like today when everyone is ‘bored’ with everything else. I don’t think they will last very long with the amount of painting we like to do, and sadly there is no way to refill them, but they weren’t very expensive (I bought ours from Windmill toys) and the colours are lovely.

We all (including me) had a lovely time dotting and drawing with them and it feels good to say yes to activities like this without worrying about the aftermath.

    I love dot paints!

I just recently got some for Noah but he is not so interested in using them to make art work yet- instead he enjoys taking the lids on and off.

I am sure as he grows he will enjoy them though.

The colors are truly wonderful. We have been using bingo markers at our house. They come only in primary colors, but are only a dollar.

We have those same ones, they were part of a Christmas gift for Immy from my sister. I love them and we have used them in all sorts of different ways, including on the trumpet I posted about today :)
