Terribly Politically Incorrect!

Posted on July 23, 2007 5 Comments

Last night at dinner the Baldy Boy said something really really stupid (nothing new there!) and I counted with something ever so smart (of course) –
“don’t be such an idiot!” I said with a scowl.

Izzy looked up from her carrots, sweet potatoes and broccoli (I must be the only person in the world who’s kids eat their vegies and leave the sausages on the plate!) and asked “who’s an Indian?”

The Badly Boy and I both just cracked up…so did the girls but they had no idea what was so funny. Despite not understanding they did pick up on the joke real quick and starting saying to each other “Don’t be such an Indian!” “You are an Indian!” and giggling along with us.

So there it is.. the newest saying and insult in our house ‘You are such an Indian!’

Terribly politically incorrect, ….especially in light of the current situation with the Indian Dr suspected of terrorists links and really no offense is meant, it was just a funny miss-hearing that took our fancy… and while I don’t do politics, especially not on my blog, I do think he is being treated terribly unfairly. Innocent or guilty, why is there one law for people suspected of helping a terrorist and one for someone suspected of murder? Doesn’t seem right to me at all… but then I am probably just being an ‘Indian’.

LOL! Might pull that one out on Alex :P

Oh, and I thought my kid was the only one who leaves the nuggets to eat the peas. Strange creatures!
