This week I have been trying so hard to catch up, and really wishing I was on top of things. I feel like I am constantly chasing my tail, and while I conveniently blame our week without internet at home, really it is more to do with being far too busy and procrastinating far too much.
That’s what I do when I have too much on my plate… I do everything but the things that I really need to be doing.
So with commitments piling up and a birthday party only a week away, I stand in the middle of the veggie garden looking at the shoots that have finally had enough sunshine and warmth to push their way through the soil. I peer under leaves and consider if that first ripening strawberry is red enough to eat (it was and I did), and I hold baby chickens.
Because that is exactly what I need to be doing when I have so much else to get done… right?
Here are couple of cool things I’ve come across online this week…
Aha Parenting – What’s the Difference Between Limits and Consequences? Love this, even if I struggle to follow through with it most of the time.
Laughing Kids Learn – DIY Chalk Rake – this is so cool!
The Comfort of Cooking – Wholewheat English Muffins. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Becoming Minimalist – How to Complain Less. I’m working on it… sometimes
100 Years of Fashion and Dance in 100 Seconds – this is way cool!
So now that I have helped you procrastinate too… What have you been up to this week?

Haha when I get really busy I find I get flustered and procrastinate too! That strawberry looks so yummy! Enjoy your week and thanks for letting me procrastinate on your blog for a while!

Your week sounds like mine, including the lack of internet and the birthday next week. I don’t have strawberries or chickens though. I am a chronic procrastinator! Thanks for the video!

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing my chalk rake. We had such fun doing that. This last week I have tried to do a bit of catching up but it does seem like a never ending task to get on top of things. Best wishes with the party. I hope it all goes well! :)

I have been in catch up mode too. My inbox is back under control which is a good thing and so is the folding. At least the week has started well!

Love, love, love your page Kate! I’m a procrastinator too. Like now, I should be doing a million and one things, yet here I am facebooking, pinning stuff and catching up on emails. Keep up the great work, you give me lots of inspirations and ideas to do with my kids :)
