You are the Best – Printable Writing Activity.
This version of our ‘You’re the best’ writing activity sheets works for any of the people in a child’s life who they may want to celebrate and write about. It’s a simple way of being inclusive and making sure all kids have the opportunity to share and celebrate their loved ones.
It’s fun to celebrate Father’s Day and Mother’s Day, but we also recognise that not every child has a person in their life who fits those two categories. Some kids have two Dads, some kids only have one parent, some kids are brought up by their grandparents, or other caregivers. There are so many different family arrangements and all of them are valid.
This ‘You are the Best’ printable writing activity allows kids to write about whoever they want to. It’s a great option for making Father’s Day and Mother’s Day more welcoming and inclusive for all, or simply a fun way to celebrate someone special in your child’s life.
This activity would be great for writing about grandparents or other family members who are special to your child, and I bet a teacher would love one of these slipped into a card!
You are the Best – Printable Writing Activity
This ‘You are the Best!’ writing activity encourages kids to write short answers to some fun prompts:
My favourite thing to do with my you is…
You always says…
You are the best because…
There is also a spot to draw a picture of your special person.
Older kids can write their own answers on the activity sheet, but if you have little ones, you could ask them the questions and write the answers for them and then they can draw a great picture of their special person.

I am new to your blog but love what I just read. I am a grandma to two grandsons and we love doing things together …drawing, painting rocks and activity sheets. I will print these ones off for my 6year old grandson Dylan. Got to go check on my lemon rhubarb biscuits…he likes baking too.
These look amazing Kate but there looks to be a problem with the links.
Thanks again.
I’m sorry the links are giving your trouble!
They look ok from my end, but it may have been an error with my server, so trying again may fix it.
When you click the link it will ask you where you want to save the file, and then download it won’t automatically open the pdf in your browser, so that may be an issue if you have a popup or adblocker.
I’m also having trouble with the file. It says it’s damaged and won’t open :(
Thanks so much for letting me know.
I think I have worked out what the issue was, and hopefully it is all fixed now!
Please let me know if there is still a problem.
