Packing Peanut Fun!

I ordered just about all of our Christmas presents online this year and one of the boxes came full of packing peanuts. I nearly threw them out but I realised they were the kind made from plant starch which means they are loads of fun!

Just add a dab of water and the packing peanuts stick together!

I set the big kids up with a damp sponge each and they got to work making all kinds of weird creations.

After their creations begun sticking to the table they discovered you could stick them to sheets of paper and build even more crazy things.

Talk about easy arts and crafts. No glue on everything, no tiny bits of snipped paper on the floor, no sticky tape stuck to everything. Nothing to do to clean up besides throwing the left over peanuts back in the box for next time!

We did this yesterday as the free craft activity at Bunnings! (Only they had coloured peanuts) I couldn’t believe how they stuck together with jut water, and was amazed at how much fun, and how creative, all the kids were with it. What an amazing find! :)

That’s great! I didn’t realize it can be used for fun. I threw mine all away :( speaks volume of my resourcefulness, or lack of.

My kids love playing with those but we’ve never gotten creative like that with them! Great idea!

We love to do this every time a package comes with them inside. I also like to keep some aside for when it is my turn to organise craft at playgroup. Nice and easy!!
