It’s a dreary afternoon, the rain is pouring down outside and everyone is starting to get a bit cranky… so I issue a family challenge!

“Two teams. Five games. The losing team cooks dinner… and cleans up!”

We divide into teams, one grown-up and two kids on each team, and then it is game on!!

Five Family Challenges with Bounce Off.

Bounce-Off is a super fun, active, family game, that is perfect for kids of all ages and will have the whole family join in.

You can play as a team, play one on one, or play all in with four players, total chaos, and loads of laughs!

You can find the new version – Bounce off Pop Out – on Amazon or in stores.

If bouncing balls are not your thing, try one of these fun minute-to-win-it games that are also perfect for a family challenge!

Game 1 : Bounce-Off!

You’ll need:

  • Bounce-Off
(Or you could use ping pong balls on a large egg carton)

How to play:
In a three game round robin, teams chose their best players to pit against the other. Choose a team member with the best eye-hand co-ordination for this game!

Bounce-Off is simple, set up the game tray in the middle of the table, grab your balls, turn over a challenge card, and GO!

Players madly bounce their balls into the tray, attempting to match the pattern on the card. Balls must bounce once before they go into the tray and you’ll need a ball collector to rescue stray balls and put them back in your holder.

First to match the pattern on the card? Boom! You win!
Be prepared for a lot of yelling, screaming and laughing!

Game 2: Straw Soccer!

You’ll need:

  • A table
  • Straws – one for each player
  • Bounce-Off balls (or ping pong balls)
  • Something to mark the goal (we used the Bounce-Off ball holders)

How to Play:

Choose the team member with the most hot air to play this game!

Set up a goal at each side of the table, place a ball in the centre and then BLOW!

You are not allowed to touch the ball with any part of your body, or the straw, move it only by blow power.

The first to score three goals wins!

Game 3: Colour Blow Off!

You’ll need:

  • A large dinner plate
  • Straws – one for each player
  • The full set of Bounce-Off balls
  • A timer or stop watch

How to play:

Choose a team member with great control for this game! (This one was perfect for our smallest player, aged 4, who beat us all!)

Set up the coloured Bounce-Off balls on the plate in a random arrangement. With timer at the ready the player must use to straw to blow only the blue balls off the plate!
You may not touch the balls with any part of your body or the straw, just blow, blow, blow! If you blow a green ball off the plate you’re out!
Blow all eight blue balls off the plate in the shortest time and you win!

Game 4: Ball Transfer

You’ll need:

  • Two spoons
  • Four containers
  • The full set of Bounce-Off Balls

How to play:

This is a head to head match between two players. Pick the team member who has the stretchiest lips for this game!

Set up your playing area with two containers side by side for each contestant – one filled with balls, the other empty.
Players must transfer the balls from one container to the other in the quickest amount of time using the spoon… in their mouth!

Players may not touch the spoon or balls with any part of their body. They need to use their stretchy mouth and lips to get the job done!

The player who transfers all their balls first is the winner!

Game 5 : Tape Measure Track

You’ll need:

  • A cup
  • A builders tape measure
  • 8 Bounce-Off Balls
  • A timer or stop watch

How to play:

Choose a team member with strong arms and good aim for this game!

Place the cup on table (or floor for shorter players), place the balls nearby, and set the tape measure at approx. 1 metre long.
The aim of the game is to get all your balls into the cup in the quickest time by rolling them down the tape measure.

The balls must touch the top of the tape measure to start, the tape measure must not touch the cup, and you’ll need a team member to take balls out of the cup to make more space as you go along.

The team who can get all their balls into the cup in the shortest amount of time wins!

A fabulous afternoon of family fun!

With one set of Bounce-Off we had and afternoon of active fun playing these games. It was a great way to get the whole family moving and enjoying each other’s company on a dreary afternoon.

Of course my team won the family challenge… but there is already lots of Bounce-Off practicing going on and talk of a rematch!

Bring it on!
