So just in case anyone was wondering, this week has so far been a great improvement on last week, and thank goodness for that!
The bites on my bum didn’t give me too much grief and are almost gone.. though I think I may be scarred for life by the whole ‘bug in your pants’ experience!
Sunday was spent blessing a gorgeous mama who is about to bring another new bubba into our circle. Just so nice to enjoy the company of great friends and celebrate such an exciting time! Plus it is so great to get to be creative… can’t wait till we bless another Mama next weekend! Yes there are babies popping out everywhere!
Muski was the token male at the event and lapped up all the attention that was lavished upon him. Of course he smiled for someone else’s camera and not mine, yet again! Plus we captured some awesome photos of him in a friends new Bumbo… so now of course we HAVE to have one of these! I am stalking ebay as we speak and waiting for the baby bribe money to appear in my account… we’ve named him Mr Medicare so where is my cash???
Got home from my parents yesterday arvo to find the Baldy Boy much improved from his previous status of ‘dying’ for most of last week. Poor guy has had the flu and I have been some what less than compassionate. I have tried to be understanding, I did take him to hospital last Monday for some IV fluids with three small children in tow and drag them to the shops and back to buy various medicinal items, as well as send him to our decent medical clinic rather than the idiot dr he first saw.. so really I was trying. I am sure he really did feel like total crap but I was running on rather less than optimal amounts of sleep – on the whole Muski is very good to me on the sleep front, but being awake every 4 hours isn’t that conducive to suddenly acquiring a fourth large whiny child to look after so I found it hard to be gracious. But the important thing is he is almost 100% better and will finally go back to work on Saturday.. YAY!
Today was play group and we sat outside in the sunshine while our kids ran amok and I think we all benefited from the sunshine and fresh air. I even managed to post off a few essential packages and letters before playgroup and cross a few more things of my list for this week, which I am very pleased about.
I won’t mention the fact that the girls had a major meltdown in town today, or that I gave in to drive through junk for lunch after that (what can I say… I am STARVING… all the time and the rooster just calls to me in my sleep!). I am also thinking about a friend who has been through some really tough stuff of late… she’s been quiet the past few days and while I am worried about her I refuse to think the worst!
So ok this week, so far has not been perfect, but heck life is like that hey! So I just smile and nod and keep on going. What else can anyone do?
Oh you will LOVE your bumbo. I think its definately worth the price. You can take them anywhere and you always have a seat, I pop her on the bench while I chop up for dinner.
Oh no! I just read your last post about the bum bites…*ouch*. I had to have a little giggle at you acquiring a ‘fourth’ baby though. Hope you’re treating yourself a little gently too hon.
