Sometimes Iife just bites you on the bum…
Finally.. the end of a really looooooong week, that is if you count Sunday as the first day of the week not the last, which in this case, I am because I need this week to be over already!
Seeing light at the end of the tunnel today which was a good thing and the kids and I headed off to celebrate with a very special family member turning the big 30! The girls had a ball dancing and getting the attention heaped on, something they’ve really needed after a tough week for them too. The boy slept in the sling most of the time and spent the rest of the time either eating or being cuddled by everyone (ah that is the life). I threw the ‘good mother diet’ out the window (not to mention the budget) and we picked up take out on the way home and as I got everyone out of the car and into the house I was thinking what a nice day we’d had how glad I was that this week was over.
Then life bit me on the bum… literally!
You know that little nip feeling you get now and then and you think perhaps you have a prickle in your pants or a splinter of wood or something? That was my thought when it happened the first time as I carried the boy in the door… then it happened again OUCH! Then I was sure I could feel something wriggling around in there!!!!
I just about threw Muski in his rocker and I couldn’t get my pants off quick enough. Hopping around the dining room floor trying to get my feet out of my pants yelling ‘ouch ouch ouch’ while my darling daughters laughed at me.
Then my greatest fears were recognised… as I tried to look and see if there was a bite on my bum or if it was just all in my head Izzy says “Mum something is crawling out of your pants!” and Zoe, just for the drama of it all, adds in ‘Mamma!!! BUG! IN YOUR PANTS!!!”
I turned to look and sure enough crawling out of my pants was a native wasp.. you know the type with the long skinny body? I am trying to find a picture here to illustrate that while it wasn’t a huge big scary wasp it still has a sting in it’s tail that it had implanted firmly in my bum! I am not having much luck on the picture front, so you’ll just have to take my word for it and I do have a whopping great lump on my right lower butt cheek which is itchy as hell to prove it!
So yeah… lets call it the perfect end to a perfect week… NOT! Next week can only get better right?
Oh noooo!! Wow, that must really have topped off the week!
It has to get better, it can’t get worse can it?! LOL Hope you can soothe your bum!

That is so funny! I only just read this now!
I had something similar happen on Fri morning, when I was sitting brushing DD’s hair in the morning, and she screamed because I had a cockroach crawling down the leg of my PJ’s. Ugh! I thought they were all gone for the season LOL!
Hope your bum feels better soon LOL!
