Little Things…

Posted on August 16, 2013 4 Comments

It's the little things that are really big things.

It’s the little things that make me smile.

Things like crappy photos that capture a moment.

Things like folding the laundry and having no unmatched socks at the end.

Things like watching my big boy master his fears and swim with his face in the water.

Things like digging in the garden till my back aches.

Things like talking to an old friend, even if it is via facebook.

Things like hearing my three year old say ‘fanks vewy much’ with a beaming smile.

Things like three jonquils picked from our garden making the house smell like spring.

Things like a nine year old and three year old giggling under the blankets.

Things like smiling during a difficult moment instead of giving up.

Things like the excitement of a class of 5and 6 year olds performing at school assembly.

Things like finding secondhand tap shoes, in the right size, for only $5! (If only there were two pairs!)

It’s the little things that are actually big things.

What little things are making you smile today?

I’m joining with Octavia and Viky’s Grateful Friday link up.

This list of yours is making me smile…and the fact that I am slowly finding a little more time to visit my favourite blogs again. But the best part of today was seeing my 3 girls enjoy a visit from the grampy who they rarely get to see as he has become one of the grey nomads! Hope you have a lovely weekend Kate and what a fab find with those shoes!
