Mother’s Day Card Coloring Activity for Kids
These free printable mother’s Day cards for kids to color are a quick and easy way to make Mother’s Day special. Not only will Mum love getting a handmade card but kids will love doing some Mother’s Day card coloring!
These cards are a great way to encourage kids to be creative. They are a little different to the usual Mother’s Day coloring cards or Mother’s Day coloring pages as they all have space for kids to add their own ideas, designs and drawing. That means kids will engage more deeply with this activity, spend more time working on it, and be able to make a unique Mother’s Day card.
This Mother’s Day card coloring activity is a great way to work on fine motor skills, and a meaningful writing activity. Once your kids have completed the design on the front of the card they can work on writing a message for Mum on the inside of the card!

How to Make a Mother’s Day Coloring Card and Envelope.
To make one of these Mother’s Day coloring cards you’ll need:
- Free printable card template – choose your design and download it below
- Free printable envelope template – choose your design and download it below.
- Scissors
- Markers or colored pencils
- Glue or tape (for the envelope)
Simply choose the design you’d like to color and download the coloring Mother’s Day card from the list below.
Print the card template onto cardstock (or plain paper) and color in the designs and add your own drawings. Then simply cut around the grey outline of the card, and fold along the middle and your card is ready to write in!
To make the matching printable Mother’s Day card envelope, download the ‘Mom’ or ‘Mum’ version below and print it onto plain paper. Add some colour, then fold the side flaps in along the dotted lines, and the bottom flap up. Add a little glue or some double sided tape along the side flaps and stick the bottom flap to them. Now simply slide in your finished card, and fold down the top flap.

These free printable Mother’s Day Coloring Cards come in three different versions. There is a ‘World’s Best Mom’ with a picture frame, a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ vase of flowers, and a ‘Mom’ words and flowers design. Each design is available as a ‘Mom’ (US spelling) and a ‘Mum’ (UK/Aus spelling) version.
There is also a matching envelope that comes in a ‘Mom’ (US spelling) and a ‘Mum’ (UK/Aus spelling) version.
These printable Mother’s Day coloring cards are all A4 sized pdf files, you will need a pdf reader such as adobe acrobat to open them. They will fit to print on US ‘letter sized’ paper, just be sure to select ‘fit’ or ‘shrink to fit’ from your printer options to allow for printer margins.
