quiet

Spring is quiet….

It’s a warm night tonight, warm enough to sit here with the window open enjoying some fresh night air. The frogs are still buurrupping and I can hear the old windmill up the back creaking if I listen hard, but overall the night is still and quiet. There is no rain on the roof, no wild wind shaking the house, no constant whirr of the heater fan and it feels like the house is peaceful for the first time in months.

I’ve really been enjoying the smell of the Jasmine at night, and how the bath no longer turns the water cold within 10 minutes of getting into it (our hot water system WILL suffice, whoo hoo!)…

I love that it’s gotten quite warm already, to be quite honest, even if might mean a long, dry summer…
