For those times, I give you my super simple, not at all healthy, Jam Swirl recipe.
Actually this isn’t so much of a recipe as it is a set of instructions…

Since health is obviously what we’re aiming for witht his recipe, they look like they’d go down a treat with a drizzle of cream or scoop of ice cream, mmmmm.

Oh dear! They are made a little too often around here! Any time we use pastry these are made with the off cuts! I’ve never used cinnamon but will be sure to give it a try! :) Delicious!

You could roll from both ends & meet in the middle then pinch the bottom to make an easy valentines day love heart dessert!

I love making these with my kids and also do a savoury version with tomato paste and cheese equally delicious and marginally more healthy perfect for after school snacks for the kids.
TheEMM says
We make a savoury variation on this with puff pastry, tomato sauce or paste, grated cheese, salami/ham, italian mixed herbs or granulated garlic. Sometimes we leave out the cheese or meat depending on what’s in the fridge, and grated parmesan works well too!
Same process… same delicious naughtiness at the end. Great for taking along to family parties/friends houses or just as an entree while a big cottage pie (heaped with vege so we don’t feel too bad about the indulgence!) cooks.

Can’t wait to try these!

Can these be frozen?
katepickle says
Yes you can freeze them. If freezing them before you cook them make sure they are completely defrosted before cooking.
