Way Back in the Beginning…

I started blogging way back in November of 2005, not long after my father-in-law had his heart transplant. 2005 was one heck of a year for our little family…

The words are too tiny to read on that lay-out but this is what they say –

In 2005…

The girls took their first steps.

We sold our first house and moved in with my parents (to be more correct the girls and I moved in with my parents. The Baldy boy lived sometimes with us and sometimes with his Dad and step Mum closer to his work – it was a fun fun time!)

The girls suddenly became toddlers and started talking and singing and dancing.

We made a big move and bought our ‘farm’.

We welcomed my niece E to our family.

We said good bye to our very good friends T and C (they moved to Queensland, we miss them heaps but we are holidaying with them as you read this!)

We planted trees and grew veggies

We worked and played and shared with new friends and old. (it was in 2005 that I first met my great friend Shae who blogs over at Yay for Home)

We celebrated the girl’s second birthday.

We said goodbye to Grampy. (The Baldy Boy’s father died in December 2005, three days before Christmas)

It’s strange but wonderful to be able to look back on both the year as a whole via my digi scrapping and at the beginning of my blog. Back then, I was quite sure that I wouldn’t last at the blogging thing, and yet here I am… writing this post up now so that my blog doesn’t look too un-loved while we are away. Who would have thought it….
