What to Blog?

Posted on May 22, 2008 10 Comments

Don’t you just hate it? When it comes time to blog and that great idea you had has just flown straight out of your head!

I was laying there in the dark last night, stroking Muski’s head, holding his hand and trying to get him to go back to sleep, my mind wandering when, ‘POW’, into my head comes a great idea to blog about! I toy with the idea of getting out of bed to go and write it down but Muski isn’t really out of it yet and if I move that will probably be enough for him to open his eyes and for the whole ‘go back to sleep’ thing to be started all over again. Plus it is cold, really cold, and did I mention dark?

I lay there and mull it over for a bit, putting sentences together in my head, marvelling at how witty and clever I am going to be and feeling sure I’d remember in the morning. Yet here I am, 9:50am, the house is quiet, the Twinadoes are at kinder, Muski asleep in the hammock behind me and I am all set to blog…

Now what was it I was going to write about again??

I hate it when that happens! It doesn’t just happen with blogging either. I tend to find that it happens when I’m in bed and remembering something that I need to remember for the morning. I think there is something about sleep that just muddles your brain. That’s why I try and write things down so I don’t forget, but I need to get one of those ‘stuff’ books that you have and stick it beside the bed, so that I can remember the next day! Also my husband is forever asking me to remind him to do such and such, and when the time comes to remind him, I can remember that I needed to remind him of something, but I can never remember what it was! So annoying!

LOL yes, happens to me all the time, except for the marvelling at how witty and clever I am bit, that’d be a stretch for me!

Well, HERE you are… See that’s what happens when you go and move your blog and make my blogroll totally irrelevant! Thank goodness for this new blogring!

Uh, yeah, I know the whole bloggy blank mind situation quite well, hence my patchy blogging of late…

Just have one of those washable textas handing, and write the idea on Muski’s jamas…

LOL, yep me too, not blogging so much though as layout ideas. Always the way that when you actually do get a moment you go blank!

I do this all the time. I try to keep a tiny notebook with me (or near me) so when something comes in my head to blog about I can jot it down and remember it but sadly I can never find the notebook. LOL

    Me too.
Sometimes I write down titles, thinking that will jolt my memory later but all it does is make me more confused and wonder why that blank draft is floating around my space.
