What’s His Name???

Posted on July 12, 2010 11 Comments

baby number 4

The first response to my ‘Ask me a Question‘ post came from Pixie and was..

“What is No 4’s name???”

And the second question I got (from Aunty Sarah) was….

“Ditto”

What’s his name??????
Ah now this is the million dollar question….. well in our world it is anyway!

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, from friends to family to random strangers all want to know. It is a really good question I agree, but I admit I did giggle when I read these first two questions.

Do you guys really think we’d name him and not tell you??

There were a few crazy suggestions bandied around on twitter last Friday night…

Perhaps we should do just that – name the baby but not tell anyone.

Or perhaps name him but tell each person a different name, and then wait and see how long it takes for people to start talking to each other and figure it out?

Or perhaps pick the world’s worst name and tell everyone that? Algernon perhaps? Pablo? Or how about Thunder or Clutch? And then sit back and watch all the overly polite forced responses of ‘oh that’s a nice name’…

But alas no… We have not named the baby yet.

We are going to name him eventually, I promise.
It’s just that a name is a really REALLY important thing and I really want to get it right, and I’m just not sure which name is the right name. We do have a couple of name ideas that we are arguing about… ahem… I mean discussing.

And I pinky swear, when we do name him you guys will be the first to know!

A quick update – no not a name as such… but a nick name upgrade, from #4 to ‘Quatro’. We think it suits and we’ll stick with that for a while!

Yeah, you named Morgan eventually, too – and everyone calls him Muski anyway because the nickname kinda stuck…

So, you’ll name #4 and everyone will just keep calling him #4, of 4 for short…

Well first of all congratulations- I haven’t been around since his arrival. And second of all can’t wait to hear the announcement once you decide. What have you been calling him in the meantime? Baby? Bubba? Little one? xo m.

I think ‘Quatro’ sounds better than #4, so I think I’ll refer to him as that until you decide. If that’s okay of course?

Quatro is so much like Muski… actually he’s more like the girls on a second take!
