Drawing Ideas for Kids – Printable Drawing Frames

September 4, 2012

drawing frames
We do a lot of drawing at our place (in case you haven’t already noticed) and sometimes we like to use something a little fancy to encourage us…

A fancy frame with a nice place to put the title is always a fun drawing prompt.

We created these printable drawing frames on the weekend.

One for a picture of your family.

One for a picture of your pet (or the pets you are thinking about getting after your beloved Guinea Pig died).

And one for a picture of you!

We also included one of each frame with a blank title space so you can draw whatever you like.

You can download the entire set in a zip file below… Just click on the download button.

{ I’m trialing yet another new way to easily share my printables. This time through Box – I quite like the little embedded file with the easy to find download button. Let me know how it works from your point of view.}

This has been the easiest download format so far. Had the file open within 20seconds of hitting “download”

Fantastic – thanks Kate. Wish I’d logged on hours ago – my sick 6 yr old would have loved to do this! The download process was easy peasy. Not as fast as for Vicki but I’m using a non-standard OS.

Thank you, these are pretty cool and are now being used to bribe my 8 yr old boy into being creative – instead of moaning about how hard drawing/colouring/anything creative is… He is now too busy creating :)

Thank you Kate, these are lovely. We love drawing here too so they will be well received in our house. My youngest has already used some for watercolour painting this morning (she’s been housebound with pneumonia so really enjoyed doing something new). May I ask what program you use to make printables like these?

Another great printable to add to your list Kate. I’ll be printing these for Miss Poss tomorrow.

This is awesome! I was thinking about opening a family unit for my daughter’s homeschool preschool and having her draw a picture of what she thinks her family looks like. She is very into arts & crafts, but she is only 3.5 years old, so I’m sure it will look more like scribbles than anything else, lol!
