Bee Counting Game
Supplies needed:
- Christmas Tree Counting Game Printables (see below to download)
- Scissors
- Dice or spinner.
- pencil or pen
Almost everything you need to play these bee counting games is included in the free printable. Once you’ve printed the game mats, cut out the bees, grab a dice or a spinner and you are ready to play!
You can use the included page of bees to add to the beehive, just print the page and cut out each bee. Or you could use some small manipulatives such as bee mini erasers, wooden bees, or even yellow pom poms, as the bees for your hive, and work on some fine motor skills while you play the game.

Bee Counting Game
The bee roll and count game is perfect for young kids who are working on number recognition, and counting.
To play the bee counting game simply roll the dice to find out how many bees to add to add to the beehive, then count out the bees and pop them on the hive.
Bee Addition Game
The bee addition game is perfect for introducing the concept of addition, and working on counting.
To play the bee addition game you’ll need two dice. Roll both dice and put one in each circle to make an addition sum. Then put the number of bees shown on each dice onto the beehive, and then count all the bees together to get the answer. Or you can encourage your child to count the dots on the dice to get the answer and put the total number of bees on the hive.
There is a space to write the sum and the answer if you wish. You may like to laminate this bee addition game mat and use a dry erase marker so you can use it over and over.
Free Printable Bee Math Game
This printable bee maths game includes two differentiated beehive mats – one for counting and one for simple addition. There is also a page of bees to print to use as manipulatives.
This printable is an A4 sized pdf file, you will need a pdf reader such as adobe acrobat to open it. It will fit to print on US ‘letter sized’ paper, just be sure to select ‘fit’ or ‘shrink to fit’ from your printer options to allow for printer margins.
