“Who will live in it?”
“What colour will you paint it?”
A few open questions and this fun My House drawing prompt and the creativity started flowing.

You need to do a few simple folds to turn your paper into a house…
Now that you have folded your house, you can carefully cut the windows and doors into flaps so they open up, and then you are ready to decorate.
It’s a good idea to close up your house, open the windows and doors, and draw what you want to see inside them first. Then you can add the rest of the inside details knowing whatever you want to see when you open the flaps are in the right spot.
We used markers for the fine detail and then used cotton buds (q-tips) with liquid watercolors to add lots of colour!
You could draw your own house, or a house from your favourite book, or a house from your imagination!
Who will live in your house?
We’d love to see your house!

That is a very sweet idea… Hope my youngest one will not think she’s already too old for it.
Thanks for sharing, :-).
Lovely activity, and I love your palettes… are they an old version of the micador branded ones? They look deeper than the model you can buy now, which I would like as I use watercolour/tintex paints constantly with my kids.
They are the Micador lotus palettes. We got them a couple of years ago, but the current photos on the website look the same as the ones we have.
Great, I am going to buy some tomorrow! Thanks!
Honestly, I am quite a creative person but your ideas are awesome and very clearly presented. I am a grandmother and love sharing these with my grandchildren. Thank you, you are a blessing. And talented!
How do you reverse the folds :(
Just open them up and fold them back the other way so the triangle shape is tucked inside.
