Odd Things That Make me Happy
The best antidote to a long difficult week is realising all the little things that make me happy….
Eggs warm from the chook house with a little fluffy feather on the top.
Crunching on raw carrots.
Our solar panels glinting in the sunshine.
Buying locally grown apples.
Finding tiny tadpoles in the dam.
Volunteer plants in my garden.
What’s making you happy today?
I am joining in with Octavia and Vicky’s 52 Weeks of Grateful, pop over and say hi.
My kids are desperate for tadpoles! No luck so far. We clearly need a dam.
I always tuck a little feather on top of any eggs we give away. x
I was just reading an article on happiness yesterday, that someone linked on FB, and noticing the little things, as you go about your day, was one of the things “happier people” do.
I am happy that the beautiful Spring whether is back – or was yesterday anyway, and is due to be for most the this week. Blue skies and sunshine in Spring always lift my spirits, even if they are already high :)
I am happy that one of my kids’ rooms is tidy right now.
I am happy that my husband has taken the kids swimming so I can write (oh, and catch up on a few blogs! :)
And, I am particularly happy that by this time next week, we will have a new stove/oven, and (presumably) it will work properly! It must be more than two years now we’ve been living with a stove on which several hotplates only operate on high, and it’s been 9 months since the last hotplate started routinely switching to high. So I am pretty excited to finally be getting a replacement! :)
