Project April Week 3

Posted on April 19, 2013 5 Comments

Can you believe I am still doing this??

I confess that I did miss a day this week. It was around 9pm Saturday night when a sentence popped into my head that perfectly described my day and then I realised I hadn’t taken a photo. I was too exhausted to even try it then, but I took enough photos on Sunday to more than make up for it so I am still calling it done!

Well done on completing another week, I love the acorn jewels and smiley acorns photo. Please tell me how you made the acorn jewels though, we tried them last year and they were a huge failure, think I used the wrong glue or my acorns were cursed, not sure which!!

We followed these instructions – http://www.kiwicrate.com/projects/acorn-cap-jewels/574

We used this Micador PVA glue (it ws given to us by Micador to try along with other art supplies) http://micador.com.au/Product/1707/Micador-Craft-Glue and the Micador ‘green’ markers.

In hindsight we should have filled the cap with more glue than we did, but they still turned out great.. so hope that helps

I am pretty sure our peg boards came from Windmill toys, but a long time ago and now I can’t find them on their website so I don’t know if they still stock them… http://www.windmill.net.au
