I love rainbows… they just make me happy. I’ll take any excuse to do something rainbow themed, and Sat Patrick’s day seems like a good one to me! So I combined two of our favourite things – rainbows and play dough!
Rainbow Play Dough Invitation to Play.
This fun invitation to make play dough rainbows was so bright and happy, and easy to set up!
A quick hunt through the craft cupboard and I found lots of rainbow coloured items to add to our play dough rainbow tray.
For our rainbow play dough we used:
- Rainbow pom poms
- Mini craft sticks in rainbow colours
- Pony beads in rainbow colours
- Strips of paper in rainbow colours
You could also use pipe cleaners, sequins, straws, gems, white pom poms or cotton wool for clouds, or plastic coins or golden rocks for the gold at the end of the rainbow.
Of course we also had to have play dough in all the colours of the rainbow!
I made some fun little rainbows, clouds and suns accessories. We printed them, laminated them and stuck on some toothpicks so we could add them to our rainbow play dough and then we had loads of fun making rainbows and patterns and bright rainbow worlds!
