Here’s another simple and delicious snack kids can make.
If you are baking with kids you want a recipe that is easy for them to follow, uses basic baking techniques, is forgiving if the measurements are not exactly perfect, and that tastes good. These simple vanilla cupcakes are all of those things. Plus who doesn’t love a cupcake with butter cream icing/frosting and sprinkles!
Get the kids in the kitchen making these easy cupcakes. Even little hands can pour in dry ingredients, and preschoolers love learning how to crack eggs (tip – get them to crack the egg into a smaller bowl first so you can pick out any bits of shell before adding it to the cake mix!) and everyone loves to stir the mixture!
Older kids will be able to manage most of this recipe without help, they just might need some help with the hot oven. Tweens and teens will love adding fancy decorations to the cupcakes, but younger kids will have fun adding icing and sprinkles.

Hi , i want to try this recipe but i dont want to yield that many cupcakes. Do you think you can give measurements for 6 (one classic muffin tray) ? As it is really strange to have 18…usually you see the measures for 12 and then you can just reduce the ingredients half to get 6, but ftom 18, they will come 9 and i really need to know how much is for 6 :( Thanks a lot
This recipe makes 12 large cupcakes (more muffin sized), or 18 smaller ones… so you could simply halve it and have 6 large cupcakes.
