The girls’ kinder has two large yabbies, two yabby babies and plenty of eggs in a large fish tank. They have all been drawing pictures of yabbies this week and talking about how many legs they have, where they live and all other kind of important educational stuff.
The girls bought home some of their yabby pictures today (see the above art work by Izzy in case you can’t read her writing) and I heard them talking about what they’d been learning while I was making them lunch…
“It’s called Yabby-topia”
“Yeah… and it’s underwater world… but there is no mermaids..”
“yeah just yabbies…”
“and Barbie…. ”
Yabby-topia… a new Barbie movie in the making perhaps?

Love the smiling yabby. Izzy captured the long feelers and beady eyes perfectly.
OMG that is just too cute.
A great idea for a movie if you have budding marine biologists in the house, perhaps?
