These free printable reindeer antlers are a fun Christmas hat that you can make at home from one sheet of paper!
Make a set of reindeer antlers for your child to wear to their Christmas concert or make yourself a pair to wear to your next Christmas party! You’ll be the best dress reindeer at the party!
My Mum is a little nuts about reindeer. If you go to her house at Christmas, you’ll find it full of reindeer. She has all kinds, dainty glass reindeer, knitted reindeer, light up reindeer, singing and dancing reindeer, every kind of beautiful and crazy reindeer you can imagine! But the best reindeer she has is the cute reindeer grand child!
These fun free printable reindeer antlers turn any cranky toddler (or child, or adult) into an adorable reindeer!
They are perfect for kids to wear to their school Christmas concert, especially when it’s 9pm the night before and you’ve forgotten to buy a Christmas hat (believe me I know), or a fun activity for any kids Christmas party.
How to Make These Printable Reindeer Antlers.
To make these fun printable reindeer antlers, you only need a single piece of paper. Just like our free printable crown and tiaras, this Christmas hat fits on an A4 (or letter sized) piece of paper. No need for big long pieces of paper, or attaching pieces together.
To make these reindeer antlers you’ll need:
- Card stock or photo paper
- Scissors
- tape
- hole punch
- elastic or string.
Start by downloading the free printable reindeer antler pdf (link below) and print it out on some card or even photo paper. Cut out the head piece with the ears, and the antlers, then just glue or tape your antlers onto the head piece. You can decide if you want your antlers in front (good for little heads) or behind the ears (good for bigger heads).
Punch holes in the ends of the head piece and attach some elastic or string measured to fit snugly around the back of your reindeer’s head.
If your antlers aren’t staying up as well as you’d like them, attach an extra strip of thicker cardboard to the back to help keep them straight.
I added a little red nose to the printable also, so you can stick that to your nose if you wish… but my reindeer wasn’t even keen to stand still for a photo, let alone wear a read nose!
This printable is an A4 sized pdf file, you will need a pdf reader such as adobe acrobat to open it. If you are printing on US ‘letter sized’ paper be sure to select ‘fit’ or ‘shrink to fit’ from your printer options.
