For Christmas one year our kids got a trampoline! My husband and my Dad spent hours on Christmas Eve night building the darn thing, and when it was finally done I realised there was no way to wrap it, so there would be no present for the kids to unwrap on Christmas morning!

So at midnight on Christmas Eve I was busily making a Christmas hunt! I came up with lots of silly clues and hid them around the house, and the last clue was attached to end of a piece of string with the instruction to follow the string till they found their Christmas present! When the kids woke on Christmas morning they ran around following clues until they finally ended up in the backyard jumping on their new trampoline!

The kids loved the trampoline, but they really really loved the Christmas hunt! We’ve did a Christmas hunt a few times after that and, even now they are all older, they still talk about times they had to hunt for their gifts!
