When I posted my monthly menu plan printable last week I got such a great response. Who would have thought a few lines and some pretty colours could make so many of us happy and just a little more organised!
But many of you told me that you shopped or planned on a weekly or fortnightly basis, that a month was too long. So here you go, here’s a weekly and fortnightly version! Click here for the weekly menu plan (above) and here for the fortnightly plan (below) to download a printable pdf document.
I also had a lot of people ask me what was on our menu, so here are a few of our favourite meals at the moment…
Mexi Bake – this Planning With Kids recipe never fails to been eaten in our house and is a standard Monday night dinner because I can prepare it at lunch time and just turn the oven on low when we leave for ballet and come home to dinner ready and waiting!
Meat and Vegie Loaf – a variation on standard meatloaf just add a variety of grated vegies and top with mashed potatoes once it is cooked.
Zucchini and Potato Fritters – it is Zucchini season here at the Pickle Farm so we are eating as many as we can while we can pick them fresh from the garden.
Beef and Veggie Triangles – at the moment our favourite variation is adding taco flavouring and a little cheese. Sprinkle the top of the pastry with some parmesan cheese and bake, then have a BIG bowl of sour cream for dipping!
Banana Cake – Despite the fact that none of my kids like bananas as a fruit, they love my basic banana cake. I add a bit of cinnamon and lemon icing and it’s usually all gone before the end of the day.
So what are you eating at your place this week?

Menu Planners are great I use them all the time.
I also have what is called a Weekly Planner that lists every thing we are doing that week including down to what shows that way he or I can see at a glance when I’m studying or if there is something else on with out having to check with each other what is happening in the comming days.
I might actually put that up on my own blog in the next week or so.

We love your triangles and will often use left over spag bol sauce to make them.
ah if only my kids all ate spaghetti bolognaise because I’m with you, that would be delish in the triangles!
Love the printables – I’m experimenting with weekly meal planning at the moment as a way to get myself in order…so will give these a try too (although, sometimes it’s better if the kiddos don’t know in advance what’s on the menu – they think it’s their opportunity to give me their opinion!!)
We had persian couscous for dinner tonight – I enjoyed it (variable response from said kiddos :-))

Thanks! I LOVE the colours :) Just printed a heap off to work with. Although I love the thought of using things like the Google calendar, I need to use a pen/pencil and paper for this type of thinking/planning. So, again thanks!

Like this but sunday gets cut, it is a little too big for a regular sheet.
Hi Christine,
If you choose ‘shrink to printable area’ (or similar) on your pdf printer menu, then it should shrink to fit whatever size paper you are using.
Hope that helps.
Love the 2 week planner! Will be laminating it to use with dry erase markers. Thanks for sharing!
What does the (what’s on?) circle mean
I write the dates in the circles and use the ‘what’s on’ squares on the weekly planner to note down things that affect my meal planning. So things like when we having dancing till late, if my husband will be on night shift, if we will be out for dinner or have guests… that sort of thing :)
